Messages and announcements

In the contest administration interface, you can work with messages from participants and send announcements.

Select a contest, then click Messages or Announcements in the left menu.

Messages from participants

On the Messages page you can:

  • view participants' questions with filtering by status and problems;
  • reply to questions using text responses or preset templates;
  • send announcements to all participants based on a reply;
  • delete your replies to questions.

Filtering messages

To filter messages:

  • By status — select All, Awaiting reply, or Processed.
  • By problems — click the Problems field, select one or more problems from the list.

Click the counter of unanswered messages in the left menu to automatically apply the Awaiting reply filter.

Reply to a message

Select a message from the list, enter your reply text in the Reply field, and click Reply. For quick replies, you can use preset templates.

If the message has already been answered, click Reply again to add an additional reply.

Reply to all participants

If a question concerns all participants, you can send an announcement:

  1. Select a message and enter your reply text.
  2. Click Reply to all.
  3. In the window that opens, edit the subject and announcement text.
  4. Click Send.

The message author will receive a reply, and all participants will receive an announcement.

Note

An announcement created via Reply to all remains on the Announcements page and is not deleted when you delete the reply.

Delete a reply

To delete a reply:

  1. Hover over the required reply in the right column.
  2. Click to the right of the reply.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

If this was the last reply, the message status will change to Awaiting reply.

Announcements

On the Announcements page you can:

  • view sent announcements with information about recipients;
  • create general announcements for all participants;
  • send announcements to specific participants;
  • delete announcements.

Create a general announcement

To send an announcement to all participants:

  1. On the Announcements page, click Send announcement.
  2. Fill in the Subject and Message fields. At least one field must be filled in.
  3. To add an English version, click Add English and fill in the Subject (EN) and Message (EN) fields.
  4. Click Send.

When sending an announcement with an English version, two separate announcements are created. Participants will see the announcement in the language of their interface.

Send an announcement to a specific participant

To send an announcement to a specific participant:

  1. Go to the Submissions page and open the required submission.
  2. Click next to the participant's name.
  3. Fill in the Subject and Message fields.
  4. Click Send.

The announcement will be sent only to the selected participant.

Delete an announcement

To delete an announcement:

  1. Select an announcement from the list.
  2. At the bottom right, click the Delete button.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Alert

Deleting an announcement cannot be undone. Participants will no longer see this announcement.

Access rights

Access to the Messages and Announcements pages depends on the role:

  • admin and judge — full access.
  • coordinator — access denied.
